Südtirol Ultra Skyrace
Extreme running race along the high mountain trail
Extreme running race - Val Sarentino, Alto Adige

SÜDTIROL ULTRA SKYRACE

The Südtirol Ultra Skyrace is an extreme running race that extends through mountainous areas in the Sarntaler Alps, on an extremely varied circuit running along the high mountain trail “Hufeisentour”. In a number of sections, the circuit requires sure footing, freedom from dizziness and - above all - excellent psycho-physical condition.

The race is run on a 121 km circuit with a difference in altitude of 7,554 m. It's the longest and most demanding extreme race in South Tyrol.

This fantastic race is held in cooperation with a number of associations and with the Sportler company, the amateur sports club Südtirol Ultra Skyrace. The amateur sports club enjoys the support of numerous volunteers who belong to various sports clubs and local associations. At all points on the circuit, athletes can marvel at a breathtaking 360° panorama that comprises the Dolomites (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Zillertal Alps, the Ötztal Alps, the Stubai Alps, the Ortles area, the Brenta area and many other natural wonders, all close at hand.

Green Event - Südtirol Ultra Skyrace

Südtirol Ultra Skyrace is a „Green Event“!
Green Events are planned, organised and realised according to criteria of environmental and social sustainability. The use of eco-friendly products, energy efficiency, the management of waste, the creation of added regional value as well as social responsibility all play an essential role in this context. The sustainability of Green Events helps saving resources and thereby leads to a reduction of costs in the longer term.
